Counselor In Training (CIT) Program (Entering 8th-9th grade)
Our teens have their own needs, and what better way to meet them than by having their own program! Keystone teens will be a part of the CIT program, where they will “assist” our staff members for a part of their day, working to build future life skills and confidence. Our CIT director will work to develop and bring out your child’s personal abilities and talents, and showcase how each of our teens can make an impact on our younger campers. Our intention is to not only foster the future leaders of tomorrow, but to make them those leaders today!
Each morning, our CITs will meet together to review their daily assignments, which are rotated to give them an overview of the entire camp program. CITs will be matched with a mentor counselor, who will guide them in their leadership role for the morning.
After lunch, our CITs will have their own camp schedule, participating in all aspects of the daily camp program. They’ll have the best of both worlds, a true camp experience with lots of activities, while also working to develop job related skills and leadership abilities. This is a very unique opportunity for our 8th-9th graders, and they are a tremendously important part of our Keystone family!
